About Vidarbha Pro T20 League

The Vidarbha Pro T20 League 2026 (also known as the Vidarbha Premier League) is back for its second season, running from 1 June to 14 June 2026 at the iconic VCA Stadium, Jamtha, in Nagpur.

Organised by the Vidarbha Cricket Association (VCA), this BCCI-affiliated franchise tournament packs 25 T20 matches into 14 electric nights.
Six men’s franchises and a parallel women’s competition battle it out, with every fixture broadcast live on Sony TEN 5 and streamed on JioHotstar.
The NECO Master Blaster, led by RCB’s IPL-winning wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma, enter as defending champions after their dramatic seven-wicket win over the Pagariya Strikers in the 2025 final.

Season 2 adds a brand-new franchise, the India Warriors, a fresh mascot named Waghoba, and an expanded Super League round, raising the stakes for a competition that has fast become Vidarbha’s launchpad to the IPL and beyond.

History

Story of the
Vidarbha Pro T20 League

The Vidarbha Pro T20 League was launched in 2025 by the Vidarbha Cricket Association to give the region’s deep talent pool a professional T20 stage.

Vidarbha has produced Ranji Trophy champions and India internationals such as Umesh Yadav and Faiz Fazal, and the league was built to channel that pipeline. From its first ball, it doubled as a showcase, running a men’s and a women’s competition side by side.

Season 1 (2025): NECO Master Blaster’s Comeback Story

The inaugural edition crowned the NECO Master Blaster champions on 16 June 2025. Chasing 179 in the final, opener Vedant Dighade anchored the innings with a brilliant 80 off 52 balls, before skipper Jitesh Sharma finished it in style with an unbeaten 30 off just 11 balls, sealing a seven-wicket win with 13 balls to spare.

The twist: the Pagariya Strikers had been unbeaten all tournament and were the only side to beat NECO in the league stage, making the final a perfect revenge story.

Pagariya’s Shivam Deshmukh top-scored in the final with 82 off 45. Across the season, Aryan Meshram was the leading run-scorer with 358 runs, Lalit Yadav took the most wickets and the best figures (a 5-wicket haul for 11 runs), and Danish Malewar struck the highest individual score, a 120 for Bharat Rangers. In the women’s draw, the Orange Tigresses, captained by Disha Kasat, beat the Nagpur Titans by 16 runs to lift the inaugural women’s title.
